Neelesh Misra launches Zameen Pe Taare, new album as singer-songwriter

India’s most loved storyteller Neelesh Misra is all set to release his new song, “Zameen Pe Taare,” on March 17, marking the first track from his upcoming album with the same name.

Written, composed and sung by Misra, the song marks his second album as a songwriter and singer. His first independent album “Phir Milenge” established him as a singer, composer and lyricist, expanding his journey from being a celebrated lyricist in Bollywood and radio storytelling to creating full-fledged music albums.

Misra is also widely recognised for reviving storytelling on radio through iconic shows like “Yaadon Ka Idiot Box” on BIG FM, where his fictional town Yaad Sheher became an emotional home for millions of listeners across the country. Through shows like “Yaadon Ka Idiot Box” and “Kahaani Express” along with his work across digital audio platforms, he has consistently created emotionally reflective spaces for stories rooted in everyday life, bringing Hindi storytelling back into the mainstream.

Apart from his independent music, Misra is widely known for penning memorable songs for Hindi cinema. His notable works include “I Love You” from Bodyguard, “Suna Suna” from Krishna Cottage, “Kuch Toh Bata Zindagi” from Bajrangi Bhaijaan, “Abhi Kuch Dino Se” and “Maine Dil Se Kaha” sung by KK, and “Thode Se Kam Ajnabee” from Pagglait, among many others. His writing is known for its emotional depth, simplicity and strong narrative voice.

“Zameen Pe Taare” is a deeply evocative song about love and quiet separation. The lyrics explore a relationship that once felt as vast as the sky but now lies scattered like fallen stars on the ground. The song does not speak in anger or accusation; instead, it lingers in the pauses — in words that were never spoken and in the moments that slowly slipped away.

With imagery of stars resting on the earth, colours scattered in memory and a river that has lost its shores, the song moves through the emotional landscape of love, loss and acceptance. At its core, it reflects on how relationships change people, leaving behind traces that remain even after the journey together ends.

A music video has also been shot for the song, featuring Misra himself alongside Dr. Roshani Rawat, bringing the emotional journey of the track to life visually.

The upcoming album, written and performed by Misra, continues his exploration of storytelling through music, where poetry, memory and melody come together.
