Sudhir Mishra is an Indian film director and screenwriter. He started his career as assistant director and scriptwriter in Kundan Shah’s comedy classic Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron. He later worked with Saeed Akhtar Mirza in Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho! (1984) and with Vidhu Vinod Chopra in Khamosh (1985). He made his directorial debut with the film, Yeh Woh Manzil To Nahin in 1987. He has directed films like Dharavi, Main Zinda Hoon, Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin, Nyaay (TV series), Calcutta Mail, Chameli, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Khoya Khoya Chand, Tera Kya Hoga Johnny, Yeh Saali Zindagi, Inkaar. In 2013 Sudhir Mishra directed a short film Kirchiyaan which talks about how a single second changed a woman’s life forever. In 2018 Sudhir Mishra directed Daas Dev, a romantic-thriller, with an interesting, modern take on the classic tale of Devdas-Paro-Chandramukhi love triangle. In 2019 he has directed for Hotstar a television series Hostages (2019).
